We will respond to your authenticated request without undue delay and no later than 45 days after receipt. If we need additional time (up to a further 45 days), we will notify you within the initial 45-day period and explain the reason for the extension.
If we decline to take action regarding your request, we will inform you of our justification and provide instructions on how to appeal the decision. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.
Responses to requests are free of charge up to twice per year per consumer. Requests that are unfounded, excessive, or repetitive may be subject to a reasonable administrative cost.
